As part of "The Call Of God" series, this is Lesson Six that is entitled “The Ministry of the Pastor,” and it outlines the essential identity, duties, and character required of a pastor within the local church. Operating under the direction of Jesus as the Chief Shepherd, a pastor serves as an overseer and leader tasked with feeding both young and mature believers, training the congregation toward spiritual maturity, and offering Christlike healing, comfort, and restoration to those in need. In addition to leading with humility and gentleness, a pastor must firmly uphold sound doctrine, refute heresy, and meet strict Biblical qualifications regarding personal integrity, discipline, and home life. Ultimately, pastoral ministry is presented as an incarnational way of life, requiring leaders to humbly live out what they preach through genuine love, active presence, continuous self-examination, and dedicated care for every member of the flock.
