In Lesson Five of "The Call Of God" series, the Five-Fold Ministry—including the office of the Evangelist—remains active today, driven by the Holy Spirit rather than human ambition. An evangelist is defined as a sober-minded leader of high personal integrity whose primary mission is to reach the lost, proclaim Christ crucified and risen, and demonstrate the gospel through both words and works. Grounded in Scripture and exemplified by figures like Philip and Jesus Himself, the evangelist’s role extends beyond public preaching to include cross-cultural outreach, defending the faith, performing miracles, baptizing, and engaging in personal evangelism across all spheres of life. Crucially, the evangelist does not work in isolation; they partner with local churches to disciple new converts and equip the broader body of believers to share the good news, ensuring the Church actively fulfills the Great Commission rather than becoming stagnant.
