We’re a completing our study that’s called “Ethics And Excellence In Life Series.” This is Lesson Seven and it’s called “Making Ethical Decisions.” Making ethical decisions from a Christian perspective involves using Scripture, prayer, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit to navigate life's challenges, especially when the Bible does not provide explicit instructions for a specific situation. Unlike standard temptations driven by self-interest, true ethical dilemmas arise when multiple moral virtues or principles conflict. To resolve these complex issues, believers can utilize a structured, biblically consistent decision-making framework that includes gathering facts, identifying the competing values, evaluating realistic alternatives, and considering the practical consequences of each choice. Furthermore, the decision-making process is enhanced by seeking godly counsel, practicing thoughtful reflection—such as allowing sleep to clear emotional noise—and ultimately trusting God with the final outcome. Ultimately, this framework ensures that a Christian's actions and internal attitudes remain morally grounded, mirror God's nature, and bring glory to Him.
