We’re continuing with our new study that’s called The Blood Covenant of Christ Series. This is Lesson Five and it’s called “Jesus, The Only Worthy Sacrifice.” Building on the biblical model of David and Jonathan, the New Covenant establishes Jesus Christ as the "Last Adam" and the only worthy representative to bridge the gap between a holy God and a sinful human race. While all humanity—likened to the "house of Saul"—is inherently fallen and incapable of saving itself, Jesus’ dual nature as 100% God and 100% man allowed Him to act as a perfect, sinless substitute in a "great exchange," taking the penalty of death to offer mankind eternal life. This covenant was ratified through His sacrificial death as the "Lamb of God," an event celebrated through the covenant meal of communion, where the broken bread represents physical healing and the wine signifies the redemption of the soul. Ultimately, Christ’s victory at the cross and His subsequent triumph over death provide believers with a legal right to God’s inheritance, ensuring that those who walk in fellowship with Him are continually cleansed and protected by His blood.
