Today, we’re continuing with our sermon series called “Nothing To Fear; Nothing To Prove. This is Message Two and it’s entitled “Courageous Love.” Drawing from the teachings of Jesus and the apostle John, God's core nature is defined as a self-giving, life-giving, courageous love that transforms believers from insecurity to deep security, leaving them with nothing to fear and nothing to prove. This profound love is meant to overflow into the lives of others, moving individuals toward compassion rather than closed hearts, and requiring them to lay down their personal agendas and schedules to embrace unplanned interruptions as opportunities for ministry. As illustrated by the parable of the Good Samaritan and reiterated in the epistles, true love manifests through direct action and sacrifice rather than empty words. Ultimately, even when human hearts falter and bring self-condemned guilt, God's boundless grace prevails, continuously replenishing believers through the Holy Spirit with an inexhaustible, life-giving river of love to serve a world in need.
