We’re beginning a new series today that’s called Fool’s Gold Series. This is Lesson  Two and it’s called “Dig Deeper.” True wisdom cannot be created by human beings or purchased with material wealth; rather, it is a priceless treasure that belongs solely to God, who serves as its ultimate source. Drawing from Job 28, this sermon text explains that because humanity possesses a fallen and sinful nature, we cannot find true wisdom on a surface level or through the living. Instead, discovering wisdom requires individuals to dig deeper into their relationship with Jesus Christ through an ongoing process of faith—a journey compared to a grueling 100-mile ultra-marathon rather than a short sprint. By moving past a surface-level faith and intentionally dedicating time to scripture, solitude, and prayer, believers can confidently look to Matthew 7:7 and James 1:5, trusting that if we simply ask our faithful Heavenly Father for wisdom, He will generously provide exactly what we need for the journey.
