We’re beginning a new series today that’s called Fool’s Gold Series. This is Lesson One and it’s called “Worth Its Weight in Gold.” In a world filled with enticing but counterfeit wisdom … often referred to as "Fool's Gold" … true value and direction can only be found by seeking Godly wisdom, which the Bible tells us is more desirable than the finest gold. According to Psalm 19, this genuine wisdom is anchored in a deep reverence for the Lord and an embrace of His Word as absolute truth. While culture offers temporary, transient idols that ultimately leave people spiritually bankrupt, a life centered on God provides unmatched purity, protection from the destructive contradictions of sin, and the freedom of living in truth. Ultimately, choosing to honor God and study His Word yields a great reward that is not just reserved for the afterlife, but manifests "right now" as an abundant, fulfilling life in the present, prompting a call for individuals to take a step of faith and pursue the real fulfillment only He can provide.
