We’re continuing with our study that’s called The Blood Covenant of Christ Series. This is Lesson Six and it’s called “Power And Purpose.” The Holy Spirit is not merely an abstract force abut the vital, indwelling presence of God that empowers believers to fulfill a mission far beyond their natural capabilities. The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, and He is co-equal and co-eternal with God the Father and Jesus Christ the Son. He is a divine Person, not just a force, who indwells believers to guide, sanctify, comfort, and empower them to live holy lives. Just as the disciples were instructed to wait for "power from on high" before embarking on the Great Commission, modern Christians must recognize that attempting to live the faith or share the Gospel in human strength leads to exhaustion and ineffectiveness. The Holy Spirit provides a divine"“dunamis” that replaces timidity with boldness and takes the burden of transformation off the believer's shoulders, as it is the Spirit’s specific role to convict hearts and bring about spiritual change. Ultimately, relying on the Holy Spirit means moving from a place of self-reliance to one of confident surrender, trusting that the same power that launched the early Church at Pentecost is actively equipping and guiding us today.
